through body language communication.
Part of the Diploma in Horse Listening, but open to all horse people Learn to read subtleties
in body language to enhance communication. This will include body awareness techniques, voice techniques, joining
up and long reining. This day will help you to understand how the horse responds easily and accurately to appropriate
body language signals. These techniques can help with problem solving and improve performance. Run by Jo Rose and

Saturday 18th September 10am - 4pm How Subtle is Subtle? Communicate with your horse through body language. Facilitated
by Jo Rose and Sue Gardner (Natural Horsemanship trainer) Through a variety of activities we will explore how horses
react to our thoughts and intent. Student will learn how to convey positivity in their commands through clearing negative
thoughts and taking control over their body language. The result will be improved confidence when working with horses. Students may bring their own horses or borrow one on site.

Equine Bio-mechanics Workshop
This workshop will cover the anatomy and physiology of the horse. It will also inlcude methods
of assessing the horse at standstill and in motion for structural and gait imbalances. Lotty will also demonstrate
how stretches can improve movement and flexibility. This workshop will be run by equine anatomy and movement
specialist, Lotty Merry. Lotty makes this subject fun, 3 dimensional and hands on. This is part of the
Horse Listening Diploma training, but is open to anyone with an interest in equine structure and movement.

Friday 25th September, 6pm - 9pm Equine lower leg dissection This
will be performed by equine body worker and anatomy expert; Lotty Merry, who will taking us on an intricate journey through
the lower leg of the horse. She will be relating this to how the horse moves and common equine problems. A must
for anyone working with horses, and of valuable interest to those who own or ride horses. Light snacks provided before
the lecture and at mid interval.

Equine stretch therapy workshop
Equine Bowen therapist and teacher, Lotty Merry, has found equine stretches to
be so beneficial in her practice, they now comprise of 50% of her equine therapy sessions. Lotty's stretch
sequence can help with stiffness, one sidedness, discomfort, injury recovery and prevention of injury. Lotty is now sharing
these stretches through her unique workshop. The day is ideal as continued professional development training for equine
complementary therapists / bodyworkers, and is recommended to those on the Horse Listening Diploma. Horse owners are
also welcome.

to assess major postural muscles in the body and the meridian system. Students are taught how to make simple corrections
to improve posture, reduce pain, relieve stress, improve energy and overall health, plus simple nutritional testing and goal
setting. At this level techniques learnt can be used to help family and friends. You can continue through 4 further
weekends (plus a half day assessment) to practitioner level. Co-taught with Kinesiologist; Terry Shubrook. Please

tba Spring, 9am - 4.30pm. Herbs for animals: a day of collecting ,
drying and macerating hedgerow herbs for animal health and well-being. Co-hosted with hedge herb
specialist and zoopharmacognosist, Sophie Xi-Zeta. This workshop provides knowledge on the common hedgerow herbs which
have provided traditional remedies for animals. We will be making our own aromatics and offering them to animals under
the self selection method.

tba Spring 2011, Surrogate Kinesiology for animals 9.30am - 5.30pm Day 2 is a Kinesiology Federation accredited CPD. Minimum requirements for attendance:
Completion of Touch for Health 2, the Healing Tools workshop. If you hold a proficient qualification in any
branch of Kinesiology, you do not need to attend day 1. (Also part of the Horse Listening Diploma.) We will be working
predominantly with horses, but also include pets. The first day will provide students with techniques for assessment
of animals via a surrogate, plus applications of techniques to enhance health and well-being. On day 2, we will be using
techniques to help specific problems; such as behaviour, gait and performance, and will include assessing and balancing movement
