Courses and workshops in Horse Listening
Horse Listening workshops demonstrate how posture, body language, thought
patterns, emotions and external stimuli can affect how your horse behaves and communicates with you. These workshops
give the horse owner / rider the confidence to communicate safely and appropriately with horses, to generate a better relationship. They also provide an introduction to some basic Kinesiology techniques
as means of assessing the needs of the participants and the horse.
The Certificate in Horse Listening takes these observations and experiences to a much deeper
level, developing the communication skills and understanding to develop real trust, enhance training, prevent and resolve
behavioral problems, and provide knowledge in natural methods to enhance wellbeing.
These workshops and courses are designed and facilitated
by Jo Rose, who is a British Horse Society registered Intermediate teacher, natural horse and rider trainer, and complementary
health practitioner / teacher.
Jo runs Horse Listening workshops
with natural horse trainer, Caroline Baldock. Caroline worked closely with Monty
Roberts for four years on his ranch in California, and co-wrote his first four books with him. At the certificate level, Jo works with Caroline, Terry Shubrook (Kinesiology teacher and equine energy
worker), plus other professionals in the equine industry.
'The Horse Listening course clearly demonstrated to me clearly how much my horse picks up
on my emotions and wariness. As we relaxed and started to enjoy the exercises it felt like we connected properly for the first
time.
It was also fascinating to observe how other people's
personality affects their interaction with horses.' Sarah C
'I feel now that will be able to know Breeze
in a way that I never thought possible , and truly communicate with him, and him with me. Its truly magical.'
Emma P
We run workshops at various locations in Sussex, Surrey, Sommerset
and Oxfordshire, or can come to your yard by request.

Corporate workshops:
Enhancing communication skills through Horse
Listening.
Horse Listening workshops demonstrate how posture, body language,
thought patterns, emotions, stress and external stimuli can affect your leadership and communication
skills in the workplace.
Horse Listening can give you an insight into the real
you; how you act, react and interact with colleagues and business associates, and teach you techniques to improve self awareness,
manage stress, enhance leadership qualities, and communicate more effectively.
Caroline Baldock worked closely with Monty Roberts, internationally renowned Horse
Whisperer, in California for four years. She helped run many of his corporate based workshops and co-wrote his
first books. Caroline's input is based on experience gained during her
years with Monty, plus many more years working with both people and horses. She is incredibly insightful in
reading both people and horses.
Jo, who is Kinesiology practitioner and teacher, incorporates
aspects of Kinesiology into the workshop, helping you understand how your body reacts to stress, how others are
affected by your stress, and what you can do to manage this.
Jo also has many years experience reading subtle body language between horses and people, and
teaching riders how to improve their communication skills.
Participants in the course are given tasks with horses to
help them understand the importance of good leadership and communication skills.
It is amazing what people can learn about communication
through listening to horses.
Jo and Caroline run these workshops in Sussex, Surrey and Oxfordshire.
'The workshops are a great way to observe human behaviour and to see how people often unknowingly mimic the behaviour
of those around them, and to realise how important environmental factors are in our behaviour.' Sue Davidson, Civil servant
'Its amazing how our emotions affect those around us, including the horse. The horse's responses were so clear.
In business its so important to have that awareness.' Louise Makin, Chief Executive of a London company
Cost: From £600 per group. An attendance of 6 - 8 people are required for the workshop. Accomodation
and food can be arranged.
For more information on the format of the day, please contact Jo on 01273 299611 / 07989 505264. Alternatively, you
