Natural Equine Services provide the horse owner with re-assurance and help with equine behavioural and
physical problems. We work in conjunction with veterinary approval, providing manipulation and healing therapies
aimed at reducing pain and stiffness, helping to re-align the body, increase range of movement and improve
performance. Plus, we can help with behavioural problems, riding issues and provide general equine wellbeing advice.
Our services are also available for dogs and humans!
We provide educational workshops and professional training
for those wanting to develop their knowledge in equine wellbeing and behaviour. We have been providing our services
and training courses since 2003.
Our services include (we may
use a combination of techniques, according to the horse and owner's needs): - McTimoney-Corley Spinal Therapy for animals: manipulation of skeletal and soft tissue structures
of the body to help with performance issues, rehabilitation and physical maintenance.
- Merishia
Massage for horses and dogs: deep tissue massage, helping to relieve tightness in soft tissue and
joints, and can help with injury recovery.
- Fascia release: applied gently
to soft tissue to help release tightness (sometimes more effective than deep tissue), and can help with general
wellness.
- Kinesiology touch and massage techniques: helping to improve
muscle function and balance the emotions.
- Equine stretch therapy: helping to
improve range of movement and flexibility, relieve tension and can help with injury recovery.
- Reiki for people and animals: a very gentle approach aimed at relaxing the mind and stimulating
the body's own healing mechanisms. May help with changing negative behaviour and aid subtle communication.
- Zoopharmacognosy: self selection of plant oils and dried plants and herbs.
- Reflective behaviour work: working with subtle body language to improve wellbeing.
- Groundwork skills: body language communication, problem solving, long reining.
- Body awareness riding skills: producing centred, balanced and more effective riding posture, plus
better co-ordination and clearer communication.
- Kinesiology for horse owners
(and other humans!): posture, co-ordination, pain relief, energy improvement, nutritional advice, relieving stress,
clearing bad habits and helping to achieve goals.
- Massage for people: Swedish
and deep tissue to release knots and tightness
- Workshops and professional training in the
above: courses are run regularly in Oxfordshire, and sometimes in Sussex.
