Founder of Natural Equine Services, Jo Rose, began her alternative equine pathway in 1998, while working
for dressage trainer; Lynsey Ryan. She found that Reiki really helped to keep the competition horses relaxed and focussed.
Soon after, Jo completed her Reiki training to Master level, and since has taught her own style of course, which
involves application to animals based on behavioural responses.
After qualifying and working as a BHS Intermediate
teacher, Jo studied and qualified in nutrition and Kinesiology for people, with aim of providing an all round
service for people, including riders.
Jo then trained in Merishia Massage (deep massage) for horses
and dogs in 2007, and went on to complete her assessment to teach Merishia Massage. She has been running
Merishia Massage courses on almost a monthly basis since 2008. Jo incorporates some of the Kinesiology manipulation
techniques into her massage work.
Having had the privelidge to work with some amazing Natural Horse trainers, such
as Sue Gardner, Jo ensures that she is sensitive to behaviour and bodylanguage when training the horse.
Jo works
with the innate senses of horses to self select their for their wellbeing needs. This is most evident in her work
with plant oils and powders (Zoopharmacognosy). Jo studied with leading expert; Caroline Ingraham, and has found the method
to be very successful in helping a variety of animals. Influenced by fellow Kinesiologist Terry Shubrook, Jo also
uses the self selection method with sounds and colours for wellbeing. Jo now works with a team, enabling
her to provide an all round service from a field of experts. These include Natural Horsemanship trainer; Sue Gardner, healer;
Terry Shubrook and equine Bowen teacher; Lotty Merry.
Our commitment to educating people in natural wellbeing for
horses has made us who we are today.
