SUMMARY:Interoception/ Neurosomatic Applications for Mechanical\, Nervous and Visceral Recalibration
DESCRIPTION:ALSO ON THE 29TH AUG \n£100\, or £90 if you are an AMT or IAAT member.  It may be possible to join via Zoom\, although on-site may give you a fuller practical experience. \nInteroception has been described as the 8th sense; and the most powerful from a self regulation point of view.  Through focused therapeutic applications\, we can stimulate this sense to bring about balance throughout the body; physically\, emotionally and biochemically. \nThis course explains explains why touch therapy works on the whole body; homeostasis\, nervous system\, visceral systems\, fascia and musculoskeletal system via stimulating interoception. There will be application techniques for the nervous system to support this\, exteroceptive balancing techniques\, and creating the best patient / client relationship.  Practice will be with dogs and horses on site. \nWe will cover: \n\nInteroception as a means of facilitating homeostasis\, nervous system\, visceral and tissue tone regulation.\nThe three levels of tauma impact on the nervous system.\nUnderstanding the concept of interoception in dysfunction as well as function.\nThe connection between interoception\, pandiculations and somatic experiencing\, and the relationship with fascial receptors\, the central nervous system\, autonomic nervous system including the vagus nerve.\nExteroception as the balancing factor to support interoception.\nMindfulness applications to activate interoception for re-organisation of the nervous system.\nRe-organisation of the nervous system through slow muscle energy techniques focussing on isometric movement.\nRe-organisation of the musculoskeletal system to release compensatory patterns via interoception and pandiculations.\nRe-organisation of the visceral system and emotions via interoception and somatic experiencing.\nUp-regulating the system using focused rhythmic movement as a whole for balanced function.

SUMMARY:Whole Body Approach to Joint Realignment and Mobility for the Equine Therapist with Louise Mauferon Vernet (Equine Osteopath)
DESCRIPTION:£240 \nLouise has a busy equine osteopathic practice in Sussex\, and has been teaching CPDs for the past 9 years. \nThe aim is to take you through the best concepts and the best techniques that she applies as an Equine Osteopath.   This course will take you through a thorough process of assessment\, introduce you to a whole new way of connecting tensions in a body\, and train you in the techniques that are most likely missing in your toolbox to fully bring back structural balance and homeostasis to your patients. \nThese are concepts that will support you through your assessment and session\, and that you will be able to come back to no matter what\, as well as the structural assessment every osteopath does and the techniques that are most likely missing from your toolbox. You will learn: – how to test the joints of the body to map it out – how to organize this map in order of priority to make your sessions as efficient as can be – the different concepts such as compensation vs adaptation\, structure vs function\, primary vs secondary\, and more\, that will help you in the process of mapping out and understanding your patient’s body – how to release areas of the msk with soft techniques such as C7\, T1\, withers SI and more. \nLouise’s motivation:  I’ve come to realise that most of the struggles that they face is down to missing some key techniques to really take their work to the next level\, as well as\, unfortunately\, the wrong approach. So it takes them years to figure out by themselves things that they should have been taught in the first place\, letting self doubt sabotage their work in the meantime! Well\, I want to help. The therapists that I have met have been talented and passionate people. All they needed was the extra support to help them unlock those difficult cases\, realise that it’s okay think outside the box\, make connections they didn’t use to make\, and approach a few more areas of the body! As a result\, they felt more confident and able\, as they finally had words and techniques to support what their intuition was nudging them towards! This is what this course is all about. \n  \nTestimonial: \nMy third time training with Louise and one of many times I have been to a CPD at Jo Rose’s.\nThe atmosphere is always so welcoming\, a group of like-minded people all working together to learn more for the better of the horse.\nLouise is a fountain of knowledge and so keen to share everything she knows whilst also being so open to new ideas and possibilities. Each time I have trained with her I have found her so engaging and full of enthusiasm\, she makes learning fun.\nI am looking forward to visiting Jo’s again for more training in the future and would also love to learn more from Louise.\nI always come away from these days having learned so much but still wanting more.\nJessica Limpkin\, Equine bodyworker\n\nTo book\, please contact us.

SUMMARY:Craniosacral and Triangulation Techniques with Equine Osteopath; Louise Mauferon Vernet
DESCRIPTION:£320.  Group maximum number is 8 to give you very good value for money in terms of individual detailed guidance.\nLouise Mauferon Vernet combines her intrinsic knowledge of the equine body\, both musculoskeletal and visceral\, with her skills in uncovering the original dysfunction\, enabling the body to release compensatory patterns that have led to apparent anomalies and discomfort.  By getting to the core\, the body is able to make long term changes that will hold.\nStudents will learn to locate dysfunction through holding points cranially and on the body\, and be able to prioritise the key or or primary dysfunction to work with.  They will be taught how to develop a sense of feel for the craniosacral rhythm and visceral feedback to pick up a sense of balance or imbalance\, with focus on specific craniosacral structures and organs\, and will learn how to facilitate reorganisation to support the body on every level.  Applications are gentle\, yet deeply focused.  This is course is therefore open to manual therapists who work lightly as well as those who normally work with deeper pressure.\nLouise has built on her original equine osteopathy skills and knowledge over the years\, having conducted many full body dissections\, trained with some of the most fascinating bodyworkers in France and the UK\, and has deep feel for fascia and it’s many functions in the body.  Her approach has become lighter\, yet deeper and longer lasting in effect.\nTo book\, please contact us.

SUMMARY:Canine Myofascial Release: Indirect Deep Tissue Release and Cranial Applications
DESCRIPTION:£200 \nRun over two days with Jo Rose. \nThis CPD for canine manual therapists provides tuition in the indirect approach to canine myofascial release.  This involves slow sustained pressure\, working with the tissue and responses of the dog.  The methods taught are great for more sensitive dogs\, chronic tissue tension or misalignments\, for release post trauma and where other methods are not successful. The effects are relaxing\, yet effective and long lasting. The method also includes osseus releases; gently and safely realigning joints.  We include some myofascial cranial-sacral applications\, plus discussion on the vagus nerve\,  neurosomatic support\, lymphatic and glymphatic systems and associations with the acupressure meridian system. \nThe course is taught by animal musculoskeletal therapist; Jo Rose.  The course material includes the history of the method\, a detailed look at fascia and its many functions\, and what happens in dysfunction.  Much of the course is practical\, enabling students to get a feel of fascia releasing\, and how this benefits both body and the emotions. \nJo has worked alongside Dawn Seaman\, helping to facilitate equine and canine Myofascial Release CPDs for many years\, and also has trained extensively in human Myofascial Release with MFRUK.  She has attended fascia training with Leon Chaitow and Robert Schleip\, amongst others.  Jo uses Myofascial release as a primary method to release deep physical and emotional tension throughout the body and realign the structure. \nTo book\, please contact us. \n

SUMMARY:Body Alignment and Nervous System Regulation\, Incorporating Muscle Testing Applications for the Animal Therapist
DESCRIPTION:£95 \nOpen to any type of manual animal therapist. \nAims… \n\nTo understand the some of the physiology behind the use of muscle testing in Applied Kinesiology for assessment and guidance on therapeutic applications.\nTo assess for musculoskeletal\, visceral\, functional\, connection lines and emotional energy imbalances\, and prioritise focus.\nTo apply muscle testing as guidance of application of personal therapeutic tool kits\, and implement figure of 8 energy applications\, and nervous system holds to facilitate realignment and regulate the nervous system. \n\nMuscle testing is used by Applied Kinesiologists to assess their client for areas of imbalance\, and to find the best correction for the issues. An area that is out of balance (physical trauma\, pain\, misalignment\, neurological or biochemical imbalance) affects the energy of the area\, effectively short circuiting it.  When in contact with this disruption\, this impacts on the strength of a functional muscle test\, which can be applied as a self test or via another person\, thereby highlighting the area of imbalance. \nMuscle testing can also be used to find the best means of correcting the imbalance\, and can help to really pin point the crux of the problem\, with detail in direction\, depth and pressure. \nThis skill can be combined with conventional assessment techniques and observations of animal responses to demonstrate clear positive changes. \nWe will include equine and canine practice. \nWe will cover:   \nHow to muscle test\, and what it is telling us: \nOverview of functional testing and how this can be used to indicate changes in the electrical flow through the fascia and nerves. \nThe rules of testing accurately. \nAssessment: \nLocating of imbalances using body sections and anatomical scan lines through muscle testing\, plus standardising this against common assessment techniques. \nAdditional focus on assessing the vagus nerve and visceral imbalance. \nCorrections: \nFinding the depth and direction of the correction\, plus application\, from skin level through musculoskeletal to visceral. \nUsing two pointing corrections for improved fascial connections. \nApplying vagus nerve rebalancing corrections. \nAiding emotional release from old holding patterns. \nAiding physical realignment. \nReassessment
