SUMMARY:Tellington Touch Techniques to Release Fascial Tension\, Enhance Proprioception and Aid Rehabilitation
DESCRIPTION:With TEAM practitioner and teacher; Lesley Holyoake. \nWe are taking a maximum of 8 students on this course. \nThe Tellington-Touch method of handling\, training and rehabilitation is based on the principles of the Feldenkrais method\, which works on activating under-used neural pathways to aid in recovery\, improve physical and mental performance\, and increasing the ability to learn.  Some of the bodywork techniques can also ease fascial and muscular restrictions\, and facilitate deep changes in the body. \nThese exercises can be integrated into a therapy session to enhance range of movement\, reduce stiffness and improve proprioception\, and can be shared with owners to support their ongoing care. \nThis is open to any equine manual therapist\, including those who have attended TTouch courses with us before as we will cover a lot of different techniques to those previously taught. \nMORE DETAILS…

SUMMARY:How to Manage Challenging Dogs for the Canine Therapist
DESCRIPTION: This CPD is held in Chard\, Somerset with Alison Garforth (Canine Behaviourist and Massage Therapist) and Rebeccah Baylis (Veterinary Physiotherapist).\n\nAs the world opens up after lockdown\, therapists are seeing more and more canines\, this is great! However\, there has also been an increase in unwanted behaviour and we are seeing more and more dogs that struggle with touch\, may have issues with resource guarding\, fear\, aggression\, a lack of confidence and more.\n\nThis fantastic CPD explores ways we can treat these dogs that don’t fit in to the “traditional therapy setting”\, using a whole new range of touch techniques\, wraps  and closure games to help ensure that we are offering the best we can to our clients and their canines: email: rebeccah.baylis@gmail.com to book your place.

SUMMARY:Energetic Attitudes of Herbal Essences
DESCRIPTION:This one day CPD is aimed at Herbal Choices / Applied Zoopharmacognosy consultants and energy workers. \nThis is a key energetic approach of energy worker; Terry Shubrook\, who uses the attitude statements of herbal essences to make deep changes in body and mind for both people and animals. \nThe method combines really well with offering the essences for self selection\, but for energy workers not qualified in self selection consultancy can simply use the attitude statements by themselves\, either in present or remotely. \nThe day will include some practice on each other\, using some simple dowsing / muscle testing methods to help identify issues\, the best essence for that issue\, and to demonstrate positive change.  We will then work in a similar way with some animals\, with inclusion of self selection.

SUMMARY:Improving Pasture Bio-diverstiy for Gut Health with Matthew Dodds via Zoom
DESCRIPTION:Matthew Dodds is currently the planning and biodiversity manager for the North Herts and Middlesx wildlife trust where he engages with the wider community to influence policy and positive outcomes for biodiversity. During his career he has surveyed\, transformed and restored many valuable wild flower meadows throughout the Aylesbury Vale district and beyond.\n\nMatthew’s presentation will cover the practicalities involved with turning pastures from agricultural to species rich diverse spaces; the by product being better gastrointestinal health for our horses and associated health benefits. This will include how we can increase species diversity into paddocks and pastures\, and information on time frames for restoring a natural swathe\, depending on pasture type and explain the differences between pastures depending on location and topography.\n\nMatthew will be providing information on how we can increase species diversity in both large and smaller scale projects\, detailing maintenance regimes\, weed removal\, cutting and grazing cycles and the benefits of these management processes. All of this information is tied with the evolution and ecology of the plant species used in wild flower meadows.\n\nWe will also provide some discussion on suitable species mixes and the plants that would be of most benefit to the above situations.\n\nThere will be time for some questions at the end.\n

SUMMARY:Integrating Muscle Testing into Touch Techniques\, for the Animal Therapist
DESCRIPTION:This is being run on Zoom for a small group.  An optional part 2 will be set to suit those interested. \nJo Rose\, Kinesiology teacher and animal therapist\, has been helping people for many years using muscle testing to help assess for imbalances in the body and find the best rebalancing techniques for the individual.\nAs an animal therapist\, Jo has integrated muscle testing into her wide range of animal therapies\, in particular with horses and dogs.\nThis course is aimed at animal therapists. Students will be shown how to practice muscle testing techniques on others and themselves before being shown how to integrate it into sessions with dogs and horses. Techniques learnt can help assess for energy imbalances\, which may relate to physical or emotional issues\, and aid application of appropriate therapeutic techniques to suit the specific needs of the individual. \nMORE DETAILS…
