SUMMARY:Equine CPD Training in the Fascial Edge Tool
DESCRIPTION:£210 (includes too worth £165) or £85 if you have your own tool \nThis is a unique tool\, designed by human and animal chiropractor; Andrew Glaister. \nThe course was written in conjunction with\, and endorsed by Andrew\, who has provided his well researched protocol for practitioner application.  Input has also been provided from Myofascial Release specialist; Dawn Seaman\, with additional research\, discussion and practical tips from Jo Rose.   Both Jo and Dawn trained with Andrew in 2011 and 2012.  The Fascial Edge Tool course took over a year to produce\, and was first run in 2015.  It has been updated with current fascial facts as needed. \nThis effective tool has so many uses: assessing tissue\, releasing tight tissue/ trigger points and fibrosis\, stimulating acu-points\, release of tension around joints and vertebrae\, and improving tissue function. The course focuses largely on horses\, but we can provide a short section on dogs too on request. \nStudents are provided with a booklet that includes information on fascia\, the tool and how to use it\, plus the scan line protocol for application.  The CPD hours total 6.5\, including videos to watch at home afterwards. \n£210 (includes the tool\, with booklet and video access\, which normally retails at £165 on it’s own)\n£85 without the tool (if you already have one) \nTo book\, please contact us. \nMORE DETAILS…

SUMMARY:Canine Myofascial Release: Indirect Deep Tissue Release and Cranial Applications
DESCRIPTION:£200 \nOnsite tuition in Oxfordshire with Jo Rose. \nThis CPD for canine manual therapists provides tuition in the indirect approach to canine myofascial release.  This involves slow sustained pressure\, working with the tissue and responses of the dog.  The methods taught are great for more sensitive dogs\, chronic tissue tension or misalignments\, for release post trauma and where other methods are not successful. The effects are relaxing\, yet effective and long lasting. The method also includes osseus releases; gently and safely realigning joints.  We include some myofascial cranial-sacral applications\, plus discussion on the vagus nerve\,  neurosomatic support\, lymphatic and glymphatic systems and associations with the acupressure meridian system. \nThe course is taught by animal musculoskeletal therapist; Jo Rose.  The course material includes the history of the method\, a detailed look at fascia and its many functions\, and what happens in dysfunction.  Much of the course is practical\, enabling students to get a feel of fascia releasing\, and how this benefits both body and the emotions. \nJo has worked alongside Dawn Seaman\, helping to facilitate equine and canine Myofascial Release CPDs for many years\, and also has trained extensively in human Myofascial Release with MFRUK.  She has attended fascia training with Leon Chaitow and Robert Schleip\, amongst others.  Jo uses Myofascial release as a primary method to release deep physical and emotional tension throughout the body and realign the structure. \nTo book\, please contact us. \n

SUMMARY:Herbal Energetics and Scientific Principles Zoom CPD
DESCRIPTION:£75\n\nThis Zoom CPD morning\, run by Rachael Maxwell (Medicinal Herbalist and Applied Animal Herbal Choices Consultant)\, focuses on both herbal energetics and science giving the attendee a strong base of research on which to build the herbal energetic principles.\nThe first part will focus on chemical constituents and their application and actions\, relating to commonly used and available herbs. The day starts with an introduction to phytochemistry looking at primary and secondary metabolites\, carbohydrates including prebiotics\, glycosides\, gums and mucilages. Lipids\, terpenes\, Polyphenols including courmarin and alkaloids. Rachael the provides information relating to plant families that contain anti-tumour compounds.\nThe second part includes organoleptic (impression on the organs) tasting to help identify a plants quality and potential application. Rachael describes what plant energetics are and how you could apply this into your practice. Rachael will provide an analysis of some well know herbs and how energy\, the environment and the animal’s constitution can guide the practitioner in the correct herbs to offer.\nThe CPD is aimed at Applied Herbal Choices for Animals graduates and students and Applied Zoopharmacognosy consultants\, and qualified human and animal therapists\, where herbs or nutrition are a relevant part of their therapy.\nRachael gained a degree in horticulture in 2004\, she later went on to qualify in Animal Manipulation and massage and has worked as an animal therapist since 2013. Rachael went on study herbal medicine at Middlesex University\, and during her post graduate studies Rachael completed the consultancy course in Herbal Choices for Animals.  She regularly incorporates Herbal Choices into her busy animal practice and has been teaching this to others since 2019.

SUMMARY:Canine Positional Release CPD
DESCRIPTION:£85 \nWe may be able to provide a Zoom option. \nThe aim is to engage the body’s neuromuscular and neurofascial functions to rebalance themselves through gentle activation\, while incorporating an applied behaviour approach. \nWe utilise detailed assessment techniques\, including motion palpation\, to pinpoint priority areas to enable release\, realignment and correct function. \nWe focus on positional releases\, utilising postural and counterstrain methods to improve effectiveness of trigger point treatment\, and to educate the body out of old postural habits and strain patterns.  We combine this with Muscle Energy Techniques; through both holds and slow directed movements\, to reset muscle function\, improve range of motion\, aid in proprioceptive toning and reduce pain. \nMobilisation approaches are integrated throughout as assessment and therapy. \nThe movements are gentle and within the comfort range of the individual\, yet are very effective at facilitating release. \nTo book\, please contact us.

SUMMARY:Craniosacral and Triangulation Techniques with Equine Osteopath; Louise Mauferon Vernet
DESCRIPTION:£240\nLouise Mauferon Vernet combines her intrinsic knowledge of the equine body\, both musculoskeletal and visceral\, with her skills in uncovering the original dysfunction\, enabling the body to release compensatory patterns that have led to apparent anomalies and discomfort.  By getting to the core\, the body is able to make long term changes that will hold.\nStudents will learn to locate dysfunction through holding points cranially and on the body\, and be able to prioritise the key or or primary dysfunction to work with.  They will be taught how to develop a sense of feel for the craniosacral rhythm and visceral feedback to pick up a sense of balance or imbalance\, with focus on specific craniosacral structures and organs\, and will learn how to facilitate reorganisation to support the body on every level.  Applications are gentle\, yet deeply focused.  This is course is therefore open to manual therapists who work lightly as well as those who normally work with deeper pressure.\nLouise has built on her original equine osteopathy skills and knowledge over the years\, having conducted several full body dissections\, trained with some of the most fascinating bodyworkers in France and the UK\, and has deep feel for fascia and it’s many functions in the body.  Her approach has become lighter\, yet deeper and longer lasting in effect.\nTo book\, please contact us.

SUMMARY:Equine and Canine Realignment Therapy and Psoas Release with Lucy Yeomans
DESCRIPTION:£120\n\nYou will learn a simple high vibrational energy healing technique that releases fascia and soft tissue quickly\, to enable the skeletal structure to realign. This is particularly effective for cranial realignment and for releasing the Psoas muscle. It is vital that the physical body is in alignment\, as any misalignment can cause physical pain and restricted movement. Releasing the Psoas muscle is essential for realignment to be long lasting.\n\nStudents will receive a Manual prior to the course containing a summary of Anatomy. The practical course will give students the opportunity to learn and practise energy healing techniques to realign the skeletal structure for horses and dogs.\n\nThis 1 day course is available to anyone who is qualified in an energy therapy such as Reiki which has covered both people and animals or any open minded manual therapist.\nLucy Yeomans is a busy human and animal practitioner.  Influenced by many years of study and practice in energy and manual therapies\, she devised this gentle yet powerful and long lasting approach to body realignment. \nLucy describes this as a non invasive version of a chiropractic session\, as intent is focused on musculo-skeletal realignment\, with often similar but longer lasting results.  The process is all via a light touch and specific vibrational energy. \nTo book\, please contact us.

SUMMARY:Body Alignment and Nervous System Regulation\, Incorporating Muscle Testing Applications for the Animal Therapist
DESCRIPTION:£95 \nOpen to any type of manual animal therapist. \nAims… \n\nTo understand the some of the physiology behind the use of muscle testing in Applied Kinesiology for assessment and guidance on therapeutic applications.\nTo assess for musculoskeletal\, visceral\, functional\, connection lines and emotional energy imbalances\, and prioritise focus.\nTo apply muscle testing as guidance of application of personal therapeutic tool kits\, and implement figure of 8 energy applications\, and nervous system holds to facilitate realignment and regulate the nervous system. \n\nMuscle testing is used by Applied Kinesiologists to assess their client for areas of imbalance\, and to find the best correction for the issues. An area that is out of balance (physical trauma\, pain\, misalignment\, neurological or biochemical imbalance) affects the energy of the area\, effectively short circuiting it.  When in contact with this disruption\, this impacts on the strength of a functional muscle test\, which can be applied as a self test or via another person\, thereby highlighting the area of imbalance. \nMuscle testing can also be used to find the best means of correcting the imbalance\, and can help to really pin point the crux of the problem\, with detail in direction\, depth and pressure. \nThis skill can be combined with conventional assessment techniques and observations of animal responses to demonstrate clear positive changes. \nWe will include equine and canine practice. \nWe will cover:   \nHow to muscle test\, and what it is telling us: \nOverview of functional testing and how this can be used to indicate changes in the electrical flow through the fascia and nerves. \nThe rules of testing accurately. \nAssessment: \nLocating of imbalances using body sections and anatomical scan lines through muscle testing\, plus standardising this against common assessment techniques. \nAdditional focus on assessing the vagus nerve and visceral imbalance. \nCorrections: \nFinding the depth and direction of the correction\, plus application\, from skin level through musculoskeletal to visceral. \nUsing two pointing corrections for improved fascial connections. \nApplying vagus nerve rebalancing corrections. \nAiding emotional release from old holding patterns. \nAiding physical realignment. \nReassessment
