SUMMARY:Live Zoom Seminar: Equine Microbiome and Metabolites\, with Dr Carol Hughes
DESCRIPTION:This is a 2.5 hour live Zoom seminar covering the latest research from Dr Carol Hughes on the relationship between the gut and whole body health.  Attendees will be able to ask questions. \nDr Carol Hughes is a researcher into the use of British wild plant constituents for common animal conditions\, particularly those related to obesity\, metabolic disorders and inflammation.   She is the key developer within the Phytorigins\, Equibiome and Petbiome teams\, and has produced the Centre of Excellence for Bioscience and the use of plant chemicals as medicine.  Her team has produced a variety of plant based supplements for animal health and wellbeing (horses\, dogs and cats). \nCarol has developed herbal anti-inflammatory and gut supplements in conjunction with research in Newmarket\, and specialised testing and treatment equipment to benefit the health of the gut biome in horses and dogs\, particularly with regards to inflammation and metabolic disorders.  Equibiome and Petbiome testing provides a detailed body analysis from faecal samples and a recommended program to rebalance. \nCarol is really keen to promote foraging for animal health and wellbeing\, and educates owners on the benefits of the hedgerow and healthy soil. \nThis CPD provides attendees with current research information into disorders related to feeding and management\, and use of plants and their constituents as remedies for dogs\, with focus on the microbiome metabolites; their function in the body\, and how to stimulate them.  Carol always has some fascinating new science to share with us. \nThis CPD workshop is aimed at those who are graduates or current students on the Applied Herbal Choices for Animals course or are Applied Zoopharmacognosy or Applied Animal Botanicals qualified\, or whose qualifications include animal nutrition.  However\, if you are qualified but have a keen interest in herbs for animal health for your own use\, please let us know as there may be additional spaces. \nSpaces are limited to allow for questions and conversation as needed. \nFee: £55 for a single seminar.  If you wish to attend both the equine and canine\, we will discount that to £100 for both courses. \nApplied Herbal Choices for Animals graduates and students discount: £50 for a single seminar.  If you wish to attend both the equine and canine\, we will discount that to £90 for both courses. \n  \nMore information on topics that Carol is passionate about
