SUMMARY:Equine CPD Training in the Fascial Edge Tool
DESCRIPTION:£210 (includes too worth £165) or £85 if you have your own tool \nThis is a unique tool\, designed by human and animal chiropractor; Andrew Glaister. \nThe course was written in conjunction with\, and endorsed by Andrew\, who has provided his well researched protocol for practitioner application.  Input has also been provided from Myofascial Release specialist; Dawn Seaman\, with additional research\, discussion and practical tips from Jo Rose.   Both Jo and Dawn trained with Andrew in 2011 and 2012.  The Fascial Edge Tool course took over a year to produce\, and was first run in 2015.  It has been updated with current fascial facts as needed. \nThis effective tool has so many uses: assessing tissue\, releasing tight tissue/ trigger points and fibrosis\, stimulating acu-points\, release of tension around joints and vertebrae\, and improving tissue function. The course focuses largely on horses\, but we can provide a short section on dogs too on request. \nStudents are provided with a booklet that includes information on fascia\, the tool and how to use it\, plus the scan line protocol for application.  The CPD hours total 6.5\, including videos to watch at home afterwards. \n£210 (includes the tool\, with booklet and video access\, which normally retails at £165 on it’s own)\n£85 without the tool (if you already have one) \nTo book\, please contact us. \nMORE DETAILS…

SUMMARY:Canine Myofascial Release: Indirect Deep Tissue Release and Cranial Applications
DESCRIPTION:£200 \nOnsite tuition in Oxfordshire with Jo Rose. \nThis CPD for canine manual therapists provides tuition in the indirect approach to canine myofascial release.  This involves slow sustained pressure\, working with the tissue and responses of the dog.  The methods taught are great for more sensitive dogs\, chronic tissue tension or misalignments\, for release post trauma and where other methods are not successful. The effects are relaxing\, yet effective and long lasting. The method also includes osseus releases; gently and safely realigning joints.  We include some myofascial cranial-sacral applications\, plus discussion on the vagus nerve\,  neurosomatic support\, lymphatic and glymphatic systems and associations with the acupressure meridian system. \nThe course is taught by animal musculoskeletal therapist; Jo Rose.  The course material includes the history of the method\, a detailed look at fascia and its many functions\, and what happens in dysfunction.  Much of the course is practical\, enabling students to get a feel of fascia releasing\, and how this benefits both body and the emotions. \nJo has worked alongside Dawn Seaman\, helping to facilitate equine and canine Myofascial Release CPDs for many years\, and also has trained extensively in human Myofascial Release with MFRUK.  She has attended fascia training with Leon Chaitow and Robert Schleip\, amongst others.  Jo uses Myofascial release as a primary method to release deep physical and emotional tension throughout the body and realign the structure. \nTo book\, please contact us. \n

SUMMARY:Herbal Energetics and Scientific Principles Zoom CPD
DESCRIPTION:£75\n\nThis Zoom CPD morning\, run by Rachael Maxwell (Medicinal Herbalist and Applied Animal Herbal Choices Consultant)\, focuses on both herbal energetics and science giving the attendee a strong base of research on which to build the herbal energetic principles.\nThe first part will focus on chemical constituents and their application and actions\, relating to commonly used and available herbs. The day starts with an introduction to phytochemistry looking at primary and secondary metabolites\, carbohydrates including prebiotics\, glycosides\, gums and mucilages. Lipids\, terpenes\, Polyphenols including courmarin and alkaloids. Rachael the provides information relating to plant families that contain anti-tumour compounds.\nThe second part includes organoleptic (impression on the organs) tasting to help identify a plants quality and potential application. Rachael describes what plant energetics are and how you could apply this into your practice. Rachael will provide an analysis of some well know herbs and how energy\, the environment and the animal’s constitution can guide the practitioner in the correct herbs to offer.\nThe CPD is aimed at Applied Herbal Choices for Animals graduates and students and Applied Zoopharmacognosy consultants\, and qualified human and animal therapists\, where herbs or nutrition are a relevant part of their therapy.\nRachael gained a degree in horticulture in 2004\, she later went on to qualify in Animal Manipulation and massage and has worked as an animal therapist since 2013. Rachael went on study herbal medicine at Middlesex University\, and during her post graduate studies Rachael completed the consultancy course in Herbal Choices for Animals.  She regularly incorporates Herbal Choices into her busy animal practice and has been teaching this to others since 2019.
