Rose Holistic Therapies and Training was founded by Jo Rose in 2004.
Jo’s upbringing helped to direct her to where she is today. Her father was a dairy farmer, and her mother used holistic methods to keep her family well. Growing up on a farm, Jo was fortunate enough to have a number of animals, including horses and dogs. She was an active member of the Pony Club, and competed regularly with her ponies and horses.
On completion of her academic studies at the University of Sussex in the early 1990’s, Jo moved to Newzealand, where she re-discovered the amazing health benefits of holistic therapies, firstly through Reiki.
Three years later, Jo and her husband returned to the UK, where Jo trainined with National and International dressage rider; Lynsey Ryan. It was during this time that she began to bring Reiki in to her work with animals.
From her late 20s, Jo went on to study a wide range of holistic therapies, including Animal Spinal Manipulation, remedial soft tissue work and Applied Zoopharmacognosy. See below for a full list.
Jo has been helping people and animals with her holistic therapies since 1997, and has been running holistic training courses since 2004. She has a busy practice working with both people and animals, as well as co-ordinating training courses in both people and animal based therapies.
Jo regularly works with eventers (from novice to 4*), international show jumpers (including two times Hickstead Derby winner Loughnatousa WB), Prix St Georges dressage horses, riding club and family horses, family pets, agility and working dogs. She has also worked with racehorses (Pat Eddery training).
As a teacher, Jo runs many of the courses herself, but also has a network of specialist teachers, trainers and therapists who work with her.
