Canine Myofascial Release
13th July 2017 @ 9:30 am - 14th July 2017 @ 4:30 pm£185
This CPD for canine manual therapists provides tuition in the indirect approach to canine myofascial release. This involves slow sustained pressure, working with the tissue and responses of the dog. The methods taught are great for more sensitive dogs, tissue in strong spasm or that is very restricted, and where other methods are not successful. The effects are relaxing, yet effective and long lasting. The method also includes osseus releases; gently and safely realigning joints.
Dawn McCaig has many years of experience as an animal and human musculoskeletal therapist and teacher of the method. Although Dawn is trained in a variety of musculoskeletal techniques, this is her primary approach in her busy practice, so students benefit first hand from what works well for her. Jo Rose, also human and animal trained in this method, will be helping to facilitate this course.
