Canine Myofascial Release
September 23 @ 9:30 am - September 24 @ 4:30 pm£220
Due to the current Covid restrictions, we are looking to run this course slightly differently this year; we are aiming for a Zoom session the week before and then one day onsite in a small group.
This CPD for canine manual therapists provides tuition in the indirect approach to canine myofascial release. This involves slow sustained pressure, working with the tissue and responses of the dog. The methods taught are great for more sensitive dogs, tissue in strong spasm or that is very restricted, and where other methods are not successful. The effects are relaxing, yet effective and long lasting. The method also includes osseus releases; gently and safely realigning joints. It will also include some cranial-sacral applications.
Jo Rose will be facilitating this course. Jo has worked alongside Dawn McCaig, helping to facilitate the equine and canine Myofascial Release CPDs for many years, and also has trained extensively in human Myofascial Release with MFRUK. Jo uses Myofascial release as a primary method to release tension throughout the body and realign the structure.
