This continuous professional development (CPD) course is aimed at equine practitioners who would like to integrate taping into their practice.

Taping can aid in the healing process, improve circulation, stimulate proprioception, ease pain and be part of a rehabilitation program in straightness.

This CPD course provides information on Kinesiology taping development, discussion on the interaction with tissue to support health and function, and lots of hands on practice.

Included are benefits that can be obtained from integrating taping into a therapy session to help stimulate tissue repair or ease pain, to enhance performance, or as part of a rehab program to aid recovery.  This day also covers taping for easing tissue tension, trigger points, joint pain, support post injury, stimulating muscle function, oedema, lymphatic support, fascial release, neuro-somatic stimulation, proprioceptive taping, taping for the SI joint and aiding pelvic alignment.

This provides 6.5 CPD hours, part of which includes a pre-course preparation/revision pdf on mobilisation.

This Equine Positional Release and Muscle Energy Techniques CPD course is aimed at those who have completed a qualification in equine body work of any kind.

The day provides students with:

  • A review of mobilisation techniques and distraction holds for releasing tension.
  • A review of current trigger point theory and physiology, and treatment.
  • An over-view of positional release techniques, related physiology and application to horses, enabling release of recent and chronic tension patterns /misalignments through gently positioning the body into areas of comfort while releasing the tissue tension.
  • An over-view of Muscle Energy Techniques through gentle release positions to activate mechanoreceptors and hydration of tissue, and includes integration into neuromuscular rehabilitation, proprioceptive toning, strengthening and autonomic nervous system balancing.

Plus, practically integrating the above to whole body application, covering cranial work, cervical vertebrae, C7/T1 junction, shoulders, ribcage, back and thoracolumbar vertebrae, pelvis , tail and limbs.

This animal phototherapy CPD course (6 hours in total, including reading material) provides students with information on the effects of red and infra-red light in stimulating healing and relieving pain.  This includes research and development, from cellular support to stimulating lymphatic flow, the best means of application, and examples success stories, supported by videos.  It will be recorded.

The Zoom sessions are around 3.5 – 4 hours, with supporting material on research and case studies to make up the rest of the CPD hours.
