Reiki stimulates the body’s healing mechanisms, helping to re-balance the body’s energy systems and maintain health. Reiki is also fantastic for helping to ease physical tension and mental or emotional stress. It can aid communication and enhance the relationship between person and animal.

The course comprises of the following:

  • Homestudy pack which includes questions on animal health and behaviour
  • 2 full days of practical training, plus assessment on safe handling
  • Case studies and observations

Students should ideally enrol on the course at least one month before the practical dates to allow time to complete homestudy questions and have them marked. Homestudy can be submitted via e-mail or post.

Having completed this course students receive a certificate to work on both people and animals. Students may choose to work as a practitioner at this level, although most complete Reiki 2 before charging a fee. Some people just use Reiki to benefit oneself, family, friends and their own animals.

If you don’t see a date to suit you on the diary page, please contact us, as we can provide other dates.

NB: The course includes practice primarily on dogs and horses. For those who do not wish to work directly on horses, I recommend that students observe them while they are receiving Reiki, as their body language responses are very clear and can teach the student a great deal. It may also be possible to join a group which concentrates on pets only. Students may bring pets to the course if they wish. Please contact Jo for more information.

Feedback from some of Jo’s students:
“I’m really enjoying using Reiki with animals, and finding it very beneficial.
While giving my temperamental hunter, Farlow, a Reiki session, I picked up on a tooth abscess, which may have been there for some time. Since sorting that out, he’s a changed horse and my husband is really enjoying riding him again. I’ve been working on my husband’s mare who has had mental and physical shocks in her life. She is usually a hyper horse but really relaxes and releases with Reiki.”
Julie

“Since the Reiki course, my dog walking business has boomed. The dogs are so much calmer and responsive with me that people are constantly asking me if I take their dog on my walks.”
Claudette

“As a veterinary nurse I have incorporated Reiki in to my day to day work. This has been so effective that the surgery is now sending me out to help pets with emotional and behavioural problems in their homes.”
