Safer Handling for Canine Practitioners

This course is open to canine therapists and those training to work with dogs.
The course is run by search and rescue dog trainer and canine rehabilitation therapist; Alex Butler, who provides practical sessions on appropriate and safe handling techniques for the canine therapist. She covers reading body language cues, appropriate equipment, managing your position and body language, responding appropriately and being effective in managing the dog to get best out of the session. The day includes practical work with dogs (supplied by Alex).
This includes a home study section prior to the day, providing a total of 6 hours CPD for those who need to record their hours.
