The diploma comprises of three elements, each of which achieve a level certificate qualification.
These are:
- Applied Equine Physical Therapy
- Applied Equine Energy Work
- Equine Natural Choices
Each aspect has optional level 2 certificate workshops. If all parts in level 1 and 2 are completed, students receive a Rose Therapies Level 2 Diploma qualification. Teaching is facilitated by Jo Rose plus outside experts. The course is predominantly practical, with case study requirements, and small research projects. Students can take between one and two years to complete each certificated element. For the very keen student, the full diploma training can be completed in a year, but may take up to five years.
Previous and current students with Rose Therapies may incorprorate some of their training into the Diploma or certificate courses. Students and graduates can obtain insurance through Balens.
“I decided to undertake an intensive training program with Rose Therapies, which I have really enjoyed. The techniques and knowledge gained have led me to a new career which I love. 10 months after starting my training in equine therapies with Rose Therapies, I am working regularly with horses, and have an ever growing client base. I am looking forward to learning more.”

All students must complete the workshops in distance learning with practical assessment (a one to one half hour session held during another course attendance) in ‘Reading the Response of the Horse‘ and the ‘Applied Equine Handling Skills‘.
